INSTITUTIONAL SPONSORS:
The ASQ Measurement Quality Division supports, assists, and guides ASQ members and others in the measurement field in the application of both established and innovative tools of measurement and quality. Its goal is to improve measurement-based decisions in laboratory, calibration, manufacturing, and management processes at all levels of accuracy. The Division supports standards development; disseminates measurement and quality-related information; offers technical support, provides education, sponsors research, and fosters professional interaction in the measurement of quality and the quality of measurement; and emphasizes the importance of measurements in the quality process.
The core mission of the Measurement Science Conference is to promote education and professionalism in measurement science and related disciplines by offering annually a venue for discussions of advances in the science, technology, and control of measurements by metrology practitioners and managers. The Conference also promotes education by awarding scholarships to students in engineering, science and quality assurance degree programs with emphasis on papers or projects that discuss the advancement of measurement science technology.
NCSL International (NCSLI) was formed in 1961 to promote cooperative efforts for solving the common problems faced by measurement laboratories. NCSLI is a nonprofit organization whose membership is open to any organization with an interest in the science of measurement and its application in research, development, education, or commerce. Members of NCSLI are measurement professionals from a variety of industries throughout the world.
